Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University. Academic interests: classical wave mechanics, quantum mechanics, special relativity, lasers. 4th year design project solved for active sound dampening in air vents.
Nick and his Queen's, 2nd year 4-person engineering team won an engineering design competition within Canada and went on to represent Canada in the international design competition at CDIO, at the Technical University of Denmark http://www.cdio.org/.
Nick paid off student loans selling door-to-door at Canadian Property Stars, a Canadian home maintenance company. Within 2 days, he was the top door-to-door salesman of the London location and within 30 days, he was the top salesman in Canada (measured by winning "All Star Competitions" hosted by Ben, CEO of Canadian Property Stars).
Nick built an online tutoring business while at Queen's and wrote software that helped other tutors and Private Schools do online tutoring (helped with billing, lead gen, other ops tasks).
Nick teamed up with Derek Szeto in 2014 for mentorship and he help Derek build out sales process for Wirkn. He worked with sales and engineering team to help develop initial feature set and find product-market-fit.
He then helped another one of Derek's portfolio companies, AdvisorStream. He took AdvisorStream from $0-$1M ARR in 12 months by installing an inside sales team and marketing funnel, helped make it cash-flow-positive by installing a customer success team and process, and helped Kevin significantly increase AdvisorStream's equity value.
He then helped Copilot Advisor solve for product-market-fit (conception to first sales) with less than $1m in the bank. Within 10 months, they were at $1m arr. They are now soaring and equity value > $20m and cash-flow-positive.
He then built Salesprocess.io and bootstrapped from $0 to $16m in 29 months and helped over 2000 entrepreneurs through programs and consulting.
He played competitive sports (aaa hockey as a kid), likes winning.
