Outbound Prospecting Funnel Overview


Alrighty. So in this video, I'm going to talk about the outbound prospecting inside sales funnel. So this funnel is super, super powerful, and you can use it to supplement your inside sales funnel. I like starting with the outbound prospecting sales funnel for brand new offers, because I can validate things really quickly. I'm like throwing Spears at people and I can see if it's working relatively quickly. I came from a, the door to door world when I was 20 years old, I was one of the top door salespeople in Canada. And I was, this is my, this, I love it. Cause you can go out to some random neighborhood. You can test an offer really quickly. You can see if it works, if it doesn't work. And outbound prospecting is kind of like that. So how it works is you're going to send some cold emails or you're going to do some LinkedIn prospecting and you're just going to send out cold messages to people and you should get a one to 5% conversion rate.

Okay. So a conversion is basically someone saying, Hey yeah, I can talk to you. Yeah, sure. Why not? What's up. Okay. So that's basically a lead. Now I put a cost per lead in here because it is pretty time consuming doing this LinkedIn pro or this LinkedIn prospecting and cold email prospecting because you have to either do it yourself or pay someone to do it. So most people think it's free, but really it's not free because you're paying people to do it or it's taking a lot of time. So then once they say, Hey, yeah, I'm interested. Then you send them a few qualification questions and then you end up booking a demo with them. Okay. Does that make sense? And the key to the key to outbound prospecting is providing some really solid content along with your message. Because if you show up at someone's door and they think, they think they think they shouldn't be talking to you because you're not credible at all, then they'll never apply.

But if you show up to their door and you have a lot of credibility with you, then they will reply. And we do that by writing some really killer content. Now this is the same thing with the inside sales. Like once you book a demo, it's the same conversion rates. Okay. All the way down the line, same funnel. You have the email marketing funnel. You have all that stuff is the same. The only difference is the way that you generate leads at the top of the funnel. So I'll show you what that looks like. And here is an actual example of a funnel. We have a 40,000 contacts and it's about one, 1% reply rate. Okay. And we're generating a regenerating leads out about, you know, $60 or so. Cause you had to pay for the content. We had the contacts we had just scraped the context.

Okay. So that's the overview of the outbound prospecting funnel. You're going to send them a few messages and we do that with LinkedIn as well. And I'll show you that in the LinkedIn outbound prospecting training, and if they don't reply, then we send them one followup message. I only send them one because let me just go into this campaign real quick. I only send them one because if they're not going to reply within the first or second one, there's no point in sending them more. Okay. So there's only two emails here that we set and we use this woodpecker tool, this to do our outbound prospecting for us. Does that make sense? Alright, so that is the overview of the outbound prospecting funnel and we can use LinkedIn to do it. And LinkedIn is so powerful and I did a whole section on LinkedIn and it works like gangbusters. So buckle up because this outbound prospecting funnel is probably going to get you some insane results. So yeah, you'll have the skills necessary to make this thing profitable. All right.
